Cash Handling and Banking Procedure

1. Appoint two people to count cash after the event/activity.

2. Record cash by source: tickets, donations, raffle, merchandise, food.

3. Both counters sign the cash count sheet.

4. Bank cash as soon as practical.

5. Treasurer reconciles banked amount to event report.

6. Differences are reported to the committee.

Reminder: Check funder criteria before sending. Replace sample wording with actual evidence, quotes, dates, budgets and committee approvals.
